Young 14 yr old C/UTL with advanced tools and skills for his age. A 2021 Jr Future Games alum with a father who played college baseball. Plays for top rated ‘26 Trosky National and was voted top performer at the PBR Rising Stars ID. Features a long lean athletic build that has plenty of room for growth, development and maturity. An upright, open stance with flex to the knees and shows hand and body rhythm in the box. Coils his front knee inward as he makes his way back to square and is soft out front at foot strike. The swing is quick for his age w/a compact, knob to ball fluid stroke w/a full two hand finish around his back shoulder. The glove behind the plate is advanced and he receives softly and lets the ball travel, while he is quick to block and keeps balls in front and is tough to advance on, as he is quick out front and side to side in recovering. Has solid footwork and a quick clean exchange and his throws have something on them and carry thru the bag with on the money throws. At SS, Cache shows educated feet w/athletic actions, while playing from the ground up and out front. Solid player who is putting himself out front and on the radar within his grad class.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP A budding athlete that ran a 6.98/60 and according to his HS coach, should take over the CF varsity spot as a freshman. Streamlined and angular with a lean tight musculature look. Shows twitch and a youthful approach to the game, where he still has to be schooled in the fundamentals, but has the right infrastructure at his HS to develop his game and learn the ins and outs of using his athleticism to his advantage. With an exit velocity of 93 at 14 yrs old, there’s definite present strength and he features a compact, quick stroke to hit with a max bat speed of 77 mph, suggesting the metrics are in place to hit quality pitching down the road. He does get to his front side too quickly as he’s driving his hands forward and needs to stay back and trust his natural strength and bat speed, and learn to quiet his body throughout his swing. The type of tools for a young kid, that gives promise of developing into a really good HS baseball player and beyond as he continues to mature, grow and just develop as he learns the fame over the next 3-4 years. Intriguing potential!

Body: 6-0, 160-pounds. Lean, tight toned athletic build with a chisled lower 1/2.

Hits: RHH. Square even proportioned square stance with sligth bend to his knees and a bit upright. Needs to sit a little more and get his knees inside his feet. Compact, quick bat with a fluid path and does cut his swing off a bit and needs a little more ext. Sqauares the ball up and it jumps off the bat.

Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 89.6 MPH. 343' max distance. As time moves forward and with the athleticism, fluid path to hit, as he matures phyically, the power will manifest.

Arm: RH. INF-74 mph.OF-74 mph. Below avg now with a need to get his fingers on top of the ball, and with working on arm strength development and long toss, the arm should play fringe to avg in the future.

Defense: Approaches the ball with confident fluid actions

The lanky freshman with the potential to be physical and move to the hot corner down the road, but as of now, playing SS and staying athletic is in his best interest. So far the results have been outstanding as a 15 yr old, starting on the varsity as a freshman with very good results.

Athletic & what they look like. Pleasant surprise, as he was unknown before the event and showed really well. Two way player for now, as he is just a freshman and he shows flashes of next level potential as a hitter and pitcher. Leaning towards the bat right now. Shows fast hands, while producing elite hand and bat speed marks of 26.3 and 79.5 with a very projectable EV of 90.6. With a 6-1 185 Lb build, the hope is that he continues to improve and get stronger, as well as continues to grow and develop. Looks the part right now of an upperclassman and the body is tight and toned throughout! Also produced a 85 mph velo from the OF and on the mound features a loose arm to reach a FB max of 84 with an over the top downer CB 68 and fade life CH 73. Really looking forward to following his progress as his freshman campaign gets underway next spring.

This one is gonna be good! When he finishes growing and his coordination catches up with the massive growth spurt he’s taken on in the last 1 ½ years, the movement patterns are in place to work with. Mason the son of longtime Pleasant Grove HS Coach, Darrin Henry and the younger brother of Miami Marlins MLB catcher and former 2 time Utah Gatorade Player of the Year, Payton Henry. Mason is just an 8th grader, and the swing works with a short compact stroke w/length through the zone into a two handed finish. Once the lower ½ becomes sturdy and strong, the bat head will fly through the zone w/impact and back spin. With an exit velocity of 90.1 and a max distance of 332’ and impacting the baseball with a sweet spot contact rate of 78%, these are really good for an 8th grader. As well as the Trackman numbers, the Blast Motion data of hand and bat speeds of 24.1 and 70 are gonna jump exponentially in time. On the mound, it’s an imposing physical look out at the mound, with a big downhill plane and steep angle of attack coming at hitters with a fluid arm and tall compact delivery and big whippy back kick at finish. The FB 76-79, which has been in the low 80’s, touching 85 at times, was down a bit, yet the CB 65-71 w/a spin of over 2,000, which again is solid for his age and it features a big TQ downward tilt with solid shape and definition. The depth is quality and with the steep plane, it’s easy for hitters to give up on the pitch, only to see it drop in for a K. At the event, Henry actually showed better K zone command and feel for the CB vs the FB. It’s gonna be fun to watch his development.

Where Cayman stood out in this look was on the mound, as he showed advanced pitchability and the ability to compete and face much older hitters and attack and not back down. Very competitive and has a way of carrying himself with confidence that exudes an aura that he's been around older players and they don’t faze him, which is the case, as his older brother Corbin is attending Treasure Valley CC playing baseball, so he was around his brother and his friends and teammates. Cayman has been a staple at our events, such as: The Rising Stars ID, Blue Chip Scout Day, the Northern Utah Open and received an invite as the youngest player at the Top Prospect Games at a loaded event with stronger and much bigger players, with quite a few committed players. We will talk about the pitching here, as he showed a FB 78-81 with some small arm side run and located down in the zone from a compact delivery with solid use of his lower ½ and gets low and into his legs and rides the slope, while sowing a solid if not abv avg HTQ arm action with release and a loose wrist to finish at the end. The CB 68-71 has solid TQ tilt and bends and takes a left turn at the end with depth and he knows how to change speeds with feel for the CH 71-74 and with a 3 pitch mix in place, we will just see where the body gets to in the next couple of years, as he is also a very good SS and overall position player as well. Looking forward to watching Cayman’s progress over the next 4 years, yes 4 years of HS baseball. Very good youth baseball player right now.

Positional Profile: SS/RHP A young 2026 who I’ve been able to see at 3 different events this summer, as well as seeing him perform for the ‘26 version of Trosky National. A baseball player that can play all over the field will show you in a workout style event, his talents in the OF at SS, catcher and on the mound. It’s hard to say where he ends up defensively, but for a young 14 yr old kid, he has run a 7.10/60 and shows the type of quick bat with a direct path and high one hand finish to elevate the ball right now and into the future as he continues to grow and develop. Was able to hit a drive 338 feet over the LF wall in BP and showed an arm of 79 across the infield. It’s easy to see at 5-10 140 lbs. that as he continues to develop and grows, that the bat and athleticism will continue to shine and draw even more attention over the next 3-4 years, as he enters HS baseball this next spring!

Body: 5-10, 145-pounds. Lean lanky and very athletic with sound baseball player type movement patterns

Hits: RHH. Sits into his lower half and is even proportioned w/a square stance. Holds the bat at his back shoulder with a semi open flare to the barrel to the catcher. Leans back into his backside and lifts his foot, and puts it down softly into foot strike. The bat takes a direct path and has some length overall, but works his hands inside, on inside pitches and spins to pull. Did hit a 338 foot shot down the line on a 310 foot LF line for a HR during BP!

Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 81.4 MPH. 338' max distance. Does show present wiry twitchy strength to carry the ball out of the park, to the pull side for a young 14 yr old kid. Will continue to develop overall and as he matures and ages with strength, LD power with loft, should be part of his game.

Arm: RH. C-72 mph. INF-79 mph. Has arm strength and can match most of the top 2023 players who are in the 78-80 mph range that don't sell out for metrics. the arm is fluid and online and over the next 3-4 years he should approach the mid to upper 80's with his arm velos.

Defense: 2.10-2.18 pop times. Advanced actions and movement patterns for a 14 yr old kid. They are not polished by no means, but for his age and experience level, which he plays for Trosky National, he's good for his level of play right now.

A sweet swinging LHH with the swing genetics coming from his father Phil. The Dad played for me in college at Southern Utah U and transferred for his senior campaign and played for the legendary Pat Murphy at Arizona State, and was subsequently drafted and signed by the Montreal Expos in the 16th Rd of the 2000 draft. Downing has a very defined and strong muscular frame, with the type of build that could be physical and really look the part in time. The swing mechanics and flow of the swing throughout, gives indications of not only hitting now, but in the future, as the bat stays in the zone among time.   It. Has drawn interest as one of the top 10 most viewed profiles over the past 2-3 months
