Preseason All-State: Vizual Edge Leaderboard

Cam Black-Araujo
PBR Utah Operations

On Saturday, March 4th the PBR Utah staff hosted our final high school event of the winter with the Utah Preseason All-State at Hurricane High School in Hurricane, Utah. The event was loaded from top-to-bottom with some of Utah's top prospects in four different classes highlighted by a bunch of former Future Gamers and nine Division I commitments with 21 total commits at the event.

We had prospects from the 2023 - 2026 classes in attendance which gave our staff a look at 110 players with a boat load of uncommitted talent, several of whom have a chance to join Team Utah at this summer's Future Games or West Coast Games. Over the next week our staff will begin to break down everything from the event with leaderboards from four sets of leaderboards from our tech partners, as well as Quick Hits with scouting notes on some standouts.

At this event, we retrieved a significant amount of data on each player including: 60 Times and splits measured by Swift Performance, Batting Practice measured by TrackMan and Blast Motion, visual testing measured by Vizual Edge, Catch Pop Time and Velocity, Outfield Evaluation and Velocity, Infield Evaluation and Velocity, Pitcher Bullpens analyzed and assessed by TrackMan. We pride ourselves on utilizing the latest technology in the game to provide the most accurate data for both the player and those recruiting/evaluating the player.

Below, we conclude our post-event coverage with the top Vizual Edge scores from the event.

WHAT IS VIZUAL EDGE?

Visual Edge is a market leader in visual performance assessment and training that multiple MLB clubs use for its players.

During Prep Baseball Report events, players will take the Vizual Edge 15-minute baseline evaluation. Following the event, players will receive an email PDF of your results - your EDGE SCORE - that will identify your strengths and weaknesses, which directly impacts on-field performance.

Visual skills are critical for pitch recognition, reaction speed, timing, seeing spin on the ball, defensive performance and much more. Your EDGE SCORE will also live inside your Prep Baseball Report profile.
