OUTLOOK:
Briar Woods is coming off of a rebuilding season in 2014 that saw them finish fifth in the Potomac Conference. The Falcons did graduate a significant chunk of their pitching staff and will rely on Caleb Barnes (LHP/1B, 2016) to anchor this year’s staff. The Falcons are returning their entire infield from last year in Jake Allen (SS, 2015), Jake Kleifges (2B, 2017), and Nathan Davis (3B, 2016). Those three, along with Barnes, figure to make the Falcons a dangerous offensive team that will need to hit the ball and play good infield defense in order to challenge for Regional Tournament berth this season.
