Outlook
The Saints are looking to build off a slightly below .500 season in 2017 and are primed to do so with a deep roster coming back from the 2017 campaign. Leading the way will be the talented middle infield prospect Nic Kent. Kent, a Virginia commit, should again pace the top of the order with his top tier speed, ability to hit for average and quickness to go along with his smooth glove. Kent, Will Hass, Jack Pausic, and Alex Markopoulos were mainstays at the top of the order towards the back end of the season and that should be the same this spring. Expect Hass and Markopoulos to again be the 1-2 in the rotation. Markopoulos came on for the team last spring as a sophomore and the Saints will need some new faces or returners to make a big contribution if they want to be in VISAA playoff contention this spring. STAB will have to improve upon the 1-5 record last year they posted against the top three in the VPL last season (Collegiate, St. Christophers, Trinity). If they can do that, STAB could be a contender for the VISAA Division I playoffs. Keep an eye out for freshmen utility player Marco Lopez-Esser.
