Outlook
With a senior laden team heading into the 2018 season, something special could be brewing for the Bulldogs this spring. Pacing the offense will be SS/P Matt House (Shenandoah) coming back after hitting over .370 on the season for the Bulldogs last spring. Team speed should continue to be a trend as over 40 stolen bases from last year return to the lineup with Shane Gallahan, Trevor McNicholas, and Paul Moore. Moore will also add pop to the middle of the order and will need to be a run producer for the Bulldogs. Leading the way for the pitching staff will be Gallahan with his near strikeout per inning ratio. Look for House and Brendan Hall (Washington) to potentially take a bigger role on the mound for Stone Bridge to make up for the loss of Gary Fuller for the Bulldogs. Keep an eye out for Brennan Speier and Mitchell Colombo to add innings to the staff as well. New head coach Mat Shannon has an experienced team returning for the 2018 season which should lead to a potential long playoff run.
