2022 VA/DC MLB Draft Recap

Last week was the 2022 MLB Draft, with the first two Rounds occurring on Sunday evening, July 17, Rounds 3-10 having been on Monday, July 18, and Rounds 11-20 occurring on Tuesday, July 19. This year's draft format was the format that we have for at least the next five years, with just 20 rounds and the draft being a part of MLB's All-Star Weekend. 

Like the 2021 MLB Draft, which was a solid year for Virginia/DC, we again had a VA/DC prep player taken in the top 2 rounds with another one going in the sixth. We also saw numerous college players who are alums of VA/DC high schools selected. Here is the full list of players selected:
