Every Monday during the season, we will highlight the top matchups each night as well as give a short preview of a few games of the week.

GAMES OF THE WEEK

No. 1 James Madison at No. 11 Westfield, May 11
The showdown of Top 15 teams from the Concord District is stacked with talent on both sides of the field. Westfield features pitchers Tyler Muscar (James Madison) and Jason Cheifetz (James Madison) as well as a core of their lineup built around Kevin Mackmin (CNU), Nick Lottchea (William & Mary), and Jonny Farmelo (Virginia). The unbeaten Warhawks are loaded out on the mound and in the lineup, with James Triantos (Virginia) and Bryce Eldridge (Alabama) providing two-way impact and Colin Tuft (Virginia) and Miguel Echazarreta (High Point) rounding out the lineup while Ramsey Collins (UConn) and Evan Blair (W&L) round out a deep rotation.

No. 8 Patriot at No. 6 Battlefield, May 14
Cedar Run District rivals square off in the first of two matchups that will likely decide the conference champ this spring. The Pioneers are loaded offensively with Mason Balsis (Middle Tennessee), Kyle Vandenburg, Bryce Demory (VMI), and Brian Wilson (Louisburg CC). They also have a deep pool of talented young arms to turn to, including Parker Hogge, Jordan Capuano, Aaron Kanefsky, Nathan Bishop, and Jakob Foster. The Bobcats are also stacked and will likely start senior Jackson Baird (George Mason) in the game, with Carson Estridge (West Virginia) and Kyle Zambrana as other big arms that they could turn to. Offensively, seniors Adam Kuzmicki (Stony Brook),Tyler Klus (Susquehanna), and Tucker Williams (Messiah) form the core of the lineup along with junior Blagen Pado.

No. 3 St. John's College at No. 6 Bishop O'Connell, May 15
Both teams are off to strong starts in the WCAC season and are currently among the top teams in our Private School rankings. Both teams are loaded with talent, O'Connell's roster is highlighted by junior two-way contributor Jack O'Connor (Virginia) as well as rotation mate Jake Feffer (South Florida). St. John's lineup features talented players such as Quinn Allen (East Carolina), Casey Gibbs (VCU), John Gibson (Virginia Tech), DM Jefferson (Notre Dame), Brayden Martin (Florida State), and Jason Schiavone (James Madison). The Cadets have plenty of depth in the rotation as well and numerous options to turn to for this game.
