On Saturday, February 10th, the PBR Mid-Atlantic ProCase will add to our pro coverage and give scouts the first look of the new year into the 2018 draft class along with select 2019 and 2020 grads

The Super 60, held in Chicago at the beginning of February, has become one of the more well attended pro showcases on the circuit, simply due to the caliber of players in attendance. We have seen more than 100 professional scouts year after year at the Super 60. Similarly, the ProCase will bring draft potential candidates from our area into one location to showcase their abilities in front of the professional scouting community.

The event will be held in Henrico, VA at the TSI Training Center, which includes a full sized infield that will allow for open hitting and plenty of room for defensive evaluations.

Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state. Now, more than 850 colleges and pro scouts subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report services.  We take great pride in providing the most thorough and comprehensive high school baseball coverage in each state.

Today we begin our breakdown of the talent who will be in attendance.

Scouting Report

5.15.17: Hits from a slightly closed set up with hands above the shoulder. Works hands in load to strong position. Shows bat speed at the dish with free hands and good extension through contact. Nice rhythm on the day as he went 2-for-2 driving two balls, one through the gap for a double. Smooth actions in the field, quick first step and covers ground well.  Clean, quick exchange to throw, throws show some carry across the diamond. 4.59 on the turn on his double to the gap. A lot of projection in this athlete who will only get better. Great motor around the diamond, always moving around the dugout and stayed engaged in the game throughout a 11-1 victory.

8.4.16 - was one of the top pure infielders at the Future Games. Clean and confident actions, quick hands and smooth exchange with an athletic body. 3/4 arm slot and was 83 across the diamond. Ran a 6.71 60-yard dash. Smooth at the plate. Direct path to ball, slightly uphill. Solid foundation at plate and will get continue to improve there as he gets stronger.

10.31.15:  Hit from a tall stance that stood slightly open.  Tall hands with a smooth load back.  Controlled stride that gets back on line.  Good lower half turn the ball.  Maintains balance throughout swing.  Bat exit velocity of 79 mph.  Short, level swing path with good extension.  Line drive hitter with potential pull power.  Fluid rhythm.  Quality mechanics that should develop to an above average hitter.  Threw from a quick, high ¾ arm slot with some accuracy.  Positional velocity of 73 mph.  Decent hands with clean exchanges.  Showed some athleticism with his footwork.  Played through the ball.
