Scouting Report
5-foot-8, 150-pound athletic strong frame. Athletic confident during batting practice, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. (65.2 mph bat speed average). (21.0 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced stance with a controlled compact load, then used a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed is raw present, uses a short rotational swing plane and high finish. Was able to create a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Smooth athletic recorded an outfield position velocity of 78 mph; shows soft sure hands, a clean natural exchange, and athletic rhythmic feet. Glovework was used out front. Used a loose quick arm action with a ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.03.
VA/MD State Games
5-foot-8, 145-pound proportional athletic frame. Solid fluid at the plate, Arneja had an exit velocity of 84 mph. (65.2 mph bat speed average). (20.6 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a smooth compact load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed was quick efficient, displayed a simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 72 mph; has smooth in control feet, sure consistent hands, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were quick and fielded the ball out front. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a longer quick arm action and a ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.21 in the 60-yard dash.
