On Sunday morning, a pair of Snyder Baseball showcase teams played an intrasquad at Kettle Run high school to get guys work to prepare for upcoming tournaments. PBR VA/DC was on site and took notes and video. These are our quick-hitter notes on players who stood out, look for a full Scout Blog in the future as well:

-Highland 2021 RHP Jackson Gimbel was 81-84, touching 85 three times. Curveball was 71-72 and drew swings and misses. 

-Battlefield 2020 RHP/3B Jacob Lawler had a strong two-way day, barreling a pair of balls and showing gap power. On the mound, he was 81-83, mostly just plugging 83. Curveball was 69-72.

-Highland 2020 Blake Fisher put a good swing on the ball in his first at bat, taking a fastball down and away and driving it up the left-center gap for a double.

-Culpeper 2019 Jake Dudley is uncommitted and someone is going to get a dude. Lot of juice at the plate, hit with wood and barreled the ball in each at-bat. Short to ball with a lot of strength and batspeed.

-Highland 2021 RHP Tyler Kaltreider was 79-82, touched 84. Curveball 72, very lanky frame.

-Fauquier 2020 3B/RHP James Swart had a good two-way day. Strong build and showed juice at the plate. Fastball was 82-84, curveball at 72.

-Kettle Run 2020 RHP Declan Downey has a very lanky frame and was 75-77, curveball 63-65, change-up 70-71.

-Colgan 2020 RHP Tanner Ray also has a lanky frame with a quick arm, fastball was 78-80, touching 82. Curveball was 66-69.

-Battlefield 2021 RHP Joe Christopher has an athletic frame and quick arm, fastball was 76-79, cureveball had some spin and was 62-65.

-Highland 2020 LHP Adam Dressler (Messiah) was 75-77 from a sidearm slot, tough angle and a lot of movement.

-Highland 2021 1B/RHP Blake Cuddington murdered a few baseballs, very quick to contact and strong through it. On the mound, fastball was 78-81, curveball was 67-69.

-Brentsville 2020 C/RHP Brett Forseth showed armstrength behind the plate and on the mound, fastball was 79-81, touching 82, from a sidearm slot. Curveball was 71-72.

-Osbourn Park 2022 RHP Robbie Reilly was 73-75, touching 78. Curveball was 64-66.
