Welcome to 2020 and welcome back to our Spring Forward series. While it may still be early February, the high school season is just around the corner, with public school tryouts beginning in just a few weeks. In mid-February, we will begin our detailed season preview, including Region breakdowns, Power 25 reveal, and the Preseason All-PBR Team. In the meantime, we will continue gearing up for the season by highlighting some storylines that we are keeping our eyes on this spring in this series.

This week, we will be looking at some of the top hitters in each region of our coverage area. While some of these players are top prospects, one doesn't have to be a Power 5 commit to be the centerpiece of an offense and hit .400+ or flirt with double-digit home runs in a season. Below are the players we are expecting dominant offensive seasons from, the kind of player that an opposing team has to gameplan around and that opposing coaches are very aware of when they are due up.

Inevitably, we will leave players off this list who go on to have outstanding springs, and we look forward to seeing those breakout players and celebrating them as the season goes on.
