Summer Recap: Top Outfielders

With the Summer in our rear view and fall in full swing, we take time out to highlight our events from this past summer. We are going to highlight some of the top performances of the summer by prospects that attended PBR events. Today we continue our Summer Recap series looking at the top outfielders.

Callaway Sigler Benedictine 2018 (James Madison commit)

5.22.16 (Pre-Summer Trials) - Sigler stands 5’11, 190. He hits from an athletic and balanced stance. He exhibits a short stride with good balance throughout the swing. He has a level swing that should produce line drives. His exit velocity of 88 shows good strength and bat speed. Defensively, Sigler threw 82 from the outfield from a long arm, over the top arm action. He utilized an athletic fielding position with solid hands and feet working through his transfer and throws.

Christopher Brady Washington-Lee HS 2017
6.21.16 (Top Prospects North) - Brady has an athletic 6-0 frame and hits from the right side. Athletic stance with a smooth back load and leg kick stride. Decent lower half and good balance throughout swing. Fast bat with good extension, exit velocity of 90. Good approach and works gap to gap with doubles power. In the outfield, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a loose arm action and some carry, outfield velocity of 84. Clean exchange and plays through the ball well. As a catcher, pop times of 2.19-2.29 and a position velocity of 75 and some accuracy. In the infield, average hands and an average exchange that was clean.

Trey Campbell Riverside HS 2017 (UNC Asheville)
8.10.16 (Unsigned Senior Games) - Campbell has an athletic 6-0 frame. Long loose arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot, above average strength with some accuracy, position velocity of 78. Average hands and fluid footwork, clean exchange while playing through the ball. Hits from the right side with an open stance. Slight load back and short stride, explosive lower half and excellent balance throughout swing. Fast bat with good approach, short swing with extension through the ball. Fluid rhythm and gap to gap approach with easy doubles power, exit velocity of 90. 60 time was 6.94.

Jared Kercher Atlantic Shores Christian 2017
8.10.16 (Unsigned Senior Games) - Kercher has a long, loose arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot with some accuracy and carry, position velocity of 81 in the outfield. Soft hands, fluid footwork and a clean exchange, playing through the ball well. Hits from the right side from an athletic stance, smooth back load and short stride. Ok lower half and good balance throughout swing. Good approach, short level line drive swing with a gap to gap approach, exit velocity of 82. 60 time of 7.16.

Rojo Prarie Lake Braddock 2018
5.22.16 (Pre-Summer Trials) - Prarie hits from a slightly open, balanced stance. He loads hands up and back in his approach and has a short level swing and low to mid back finish. His exit velocity tested at 83 and showed good explosion. From the outfield, Prarie showed a smooth, long arm action. He has a plus arm and a positional velocity of 88. His throws were accurate and showed plus life.
