Solomon has an large, 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame and is very strong. He runs a 7.4-second 60 and hits from both sides of the plate. From the right, he has an upright stance, leg kick stride and a bit of a wrap in his load. He takes a long path, but has an explosive lower half and quick bat. He also gets good extension through the ball. From the left, Solomon has an athletic set-up, big leg kick and smooth load. He has good rhythm and balance in his swing and is short to the ball with explosive bat speed. Defensively, Solomon may have to move out from behind the plate, but throws from a high-3/4 slot with a short arm action that is very loose. He has a quick release and gains ground as he works through the ball. A Vanderbilt recruit, he shows decent accuracy with pop times around 1.97-2.0 seconds.
