In August, over 50 players took the field at Virginia Sports Complex to take part in our third Unsigned Senior Games with over 15 colleges looking on. Players had their stats and videos taken and participated in a game. We continue our analysis of the event by looking at the outfielders.

 

 

 

Luke Burner OF / LHP / Highland School, VA / 2019 Burner is 5-10 with an athletic frame and added strength, he has some projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an open athletic stance, good rhythm with a low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back, hips rotate completely with some explosion and he maintains good balance during his swing. Short level line drive swing, showed barrel ability and can use the whole field, has some power to pull side, exit velocity was 87, chance to hit for high average with some doubles at the next level. In the outfield, quick clean exchange, gets body behind the ball and plays through it, fielding towards his target and fielding with above average hands. He throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 83 with accuracy. Ran a 7.43 60 yard dash.

 

 

Luke Churchill OF / RHP / Millbrook, VA / 2019 Churchill is 6-1 with a lanky athletic frame that has a lot projection left to it. He has committed to Lackawanna JC since the Senior Games. He hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, short stride on line, very short load back, hips rotate completely, very good balance to swing. Short to ball, slightly uphill swing path line drive swing, showed good approach working middle of field, exit velocity was 79. In outfield, Gets behind ball and fields towards target with average hands, clean exchange. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, outfield velocity was 77.

 

 

Stephen Cook, Jr. OF / OF / Menchville, VA / 2019 Cook is 6-0 with a lanky frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an athletic stance, short stride on line, short load back, hips rotate with some violence and he maintains good balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path, pull approach, gets hands slotted and stays short to ball, line drive swing, exit velocity was 84. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields with above average hands, quick clean exchange working through the ball. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 80. Ran a 7.00 60 yard dash.

 

 

Stephen Davis OF / 2B / First Colonial, VA / 2019 Davis is 5-11 with an athletic frame that has some of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a balanced stance, leg kick stride stride on line, smooth load back, hips rotate completely and he maintains some balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path, showed ability to use whole field, short to ball, exit velocity was 78. In the outfield, charges ball aggressively and fields with average hands, quick clean exchange working through the ball. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 84. Showed versatility working out in the infield as well, position velocity was 84.

 

 

Anthony Hall OF / RHP / Menchville, VA / 2019 Hall is 6-0 with a lankier athletic frame that has some of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open upright balanced stance, short stride on line, smooth load back, hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path, showed ability to use whole field, short to ball, exit velocity was 82. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields with above average hands, quick clean exchange working through the ball. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 84 and showed some accuracy to his throws. Ran a 7.40 60 yard dash.

 

 

Chris Harrell OF / 2B / Greenbrier Christian, VA / 2019 Harrell is 6-0 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He is a switch hitter, from the right side he hits from an open athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, slight load back, hips rotate completely and he maintains good balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path with some extension through ball, pull preference, exit velocity was 79. From the left side, he hits from an open athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, slight load back, hips rotate completely and he maintains good balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path, shorter to the ball, some strength at contact with some extension through ball, pull preference and exit was 77 from the left side. In the outfield, rounds ball and fields to his side with average hands, quick clean exchange working through the ball. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 78. Showed versatility working out in the infield, velocity there was 74.

 

 

Tucker Hensley OF / RHP / Orange County, VA / 2019 Hensley is 5-11 with a strong athletic frame. He hits from the left side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, quiet load back, hips rotate completely, some balance to swing. Short to ball, level to slightly uphill path, line drive swing, showed good approach working middle of field, exit velocity was 86. In outfield, rounds ball and fields with above average hands. Plays through to a quick clean exchange, three quarters arm slot, position velocity was 75.

 

 

Becker Kaufman OF / SS / Tuscarora, VA / 2019 Kaufman is 5-8 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, slight load back, hips have violence and he maintains good balance during his swing. Short to ball, level line drive swing, used whole field, exit velocity was 79. In the outfield, rounds ball and plays it off to the side while he fields with above average hands, clean exchange. Craig Miles, Jr. OF / SS / Battlefield, VA / 2019 Miles is 5-9 with a strong athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He is a switch hitter, from the right side he hits from an open athletic stance, short stride on line, loads back into a bar, hips have violence and he maintains good balance during his swing. Slightly uphill path with some extension through ball, used whole field, strong at contact, more of a line drive swing from right side, exit velocity was 84. From the left side, he hits from an open upright stance, short stride on line, loads back into a wrap, hips rotate violently and he maintains good balance during his swing. Uphill path, short to the ball with strength at contact with some extension through ball, pull preference and exit was 85 from the left side. In the outfield, clean feet, rounds ball and fields with above average hands, quick clean exchange working through the ball. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 73. Ben Nehring OF / 2B / Heritage (Leesburg), VA / 2019 Nehring is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. Alexander Seymour OF / LHP / Brentsville, VA / 2019 Seymour is 6-1 with a strong athletic frame. Seth Sherman OF / 2B / Riverbend , VA / 2019 Sherman is 5-7 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. Owen Stewart OF / LHP / Harrisonburg, VA / 2019 Stewart is 5-6 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. Aidan Willard OF / RHP / Briar Woods, VA / 2019 Willard is 5-11 with an athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it.
