#13 Western Branch Bruins traveled to #17 Nansemond River Warriors on Thursday night for a big showdown in the 757. Western Branch took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first and continued to extend that lead deeper into the game, including a two run homerun by 2021 Jesse Whiddon to make it 6-1 in the sixth inning. In the bottom of the seventh inning the Warriors came charging back. It started with a walk and was then followed by a Clay Grady (Virginia Tech) double and a Grayson Fitzwater three run homerun to make it 6-4. After a Western Branch error allowed two runs to score, Cam Pittman (Radford) hit a walk-off single up the middle to seal the comeback for the Warriors.
