In my first game Saturday I traveled to Virginia Beach to see #7 Walsingham Academy visit #8 Cape Henry Collegiate. Cape Henry jumped up early by a score of 3-0. Their three runs came from a combination of hits and Walsingham miscues. Cape would extend their lead to 4-0 with a solo home run from UVA commit Harper Cox later in the game. With the help of Jacob-Miller Bopp and Ayden Evans, who jumpstarted the Trojans' offense, Walsingham would try to climb back in, but it was too little too late. The freshman Parker Wight threw a really nice game for Cape Henry, only allowing one hit over four innings and striking out four along the way.

Later that evening back in Richmond #1 St. Christopher's Saints would take on #6 Benedictine Cadets. It was a pretty quick and clean first innings for both team. The top of the second was a different story. The #1 Saints would go on to score twelve runs, all of which came with two outs. That inning featured extra base hits from 2023 Charlie Knighton and 2021 Harrison Coble (Pittsburgh) to go along with a two-run home run by 2022 Carter Schmitt (Randolph-Macon). After that St. Christopher would cruise to a 14-2 victory over the #6 Benedictine Cadets.

Now for some player notes and video from both games.
