Collegiate

Silas Gwathmey SS / RHP / Collegiate, VA / 2023

I have always thought of Gwathmey as a position only guy, but he was very strong on the mound in relief. Works with intent and reliever profile. The fastball sat 81-84 mph and touched 85 mph twice. It carried away from right handers and there's a little more there. The breaking ball was an above average pitch. Higher spin, tight shape, and swing and miss tendencies. The slider sat at 70-74 mph and is undoubtedly his best out pitch.

Will Slater C / 3B / Collegiate School, VA / 2024

Compact frame with lean strength present throughout. One of the first times I have seen Slater in game action and he did a really nice job behind the plate. Solid hand strength, handled the staff well, and is a well above average blocker. Softens the block, redirects back to center, and keeps it close. Had multiple pitches in the dirt with runners on and kept everyone where they were by showing a quick recovery and was in a good throwing position. At the plate it is a short quick swing that gets in and out of the zone quick. Level path to contact.

Atlantic Shores

Brett Beasley SS / RHP / Atlantic Shores Christian, VA / 2025

6-foot-2, 175-pound frame. Long levers and room to fill. Defensively, Beasley is an athletic, versatile defender. Played short and made multiple plays. Threw one away on a very tough play up the middle where he had to throw across his body. Shows solid arm strength for a freshman and long term may very well have enough arm to stay on the left side. The hands are average and fields it deep at times. Very active feet and aggressive on approach. At the plate the bat continues to be one of the more consistent offensive pieces that we have seen in the '25 class. Square stance, balanced, and gets slightly upright before moving into the swing. Level path with line drive tendencies and a little more power to the pull side.
