There was not a lot of offense to go around on Tuesday night for either team, but there were some nice arms on display. Franklin County would send sophomore Preston Crowl to the mound and Virginia Tech commit Tyler Dean would get the ball for the William Byrd Terriers. The Eagles of Franklin County would get their offensive jumpstart with a double from the leadoff batter Riley Hill. Hill would later score on a Jack Mitzel single to make it 1-0. That would be all the scoring until the top of the seventh when Franklin County would scratch two runs on a few walks and a Byrd miscue. Crowl threw five innings, allowed only one hit, and struck out five along the way. Tyler Dean threw six innings, scattered four hits, and struck out eleven along the way. Riley Hill would get the save for the Eagles, his second in the past seven days. Final score #24 Franklin County 3 - William Byrd 0.
