#4 Hanover travelled across town to rival Mechanicsville on Tuesday night. In a game thought to be dominated by arms, it did not disappoint. UMass-Amherst commit Brett Allen took the mound in his final high school start and he was lights out. Allen threw five no-hit, shutout innings. He struck out nine along the way before he handed it over to 2022 CJ DiNapoli. Hanover sent Coastal Carolina commit 2022 Levi Huesman to the mound and he was lights out as well. Huesman threw six and two-thirds, allowed one infield single and struck out ten. The #4 Hanover Hawks would finally break the scoreless tie in the top of the seventh when 2022 Brett Alvis doubled to left field bringing home Caden Plummer (VMI). After Alvis made it 1-0, Seth Keller (ODU) hit a laser single to left center that would score Alvis and DeShazo, who reached via walk. The Hawks would bring in 2022 Marcus Van Alstine to close it out for the final out and the Hawks would take this one by a final score of 3-0.

Now for some video and notes on a few players that stood out Tuesday night.
