Centreville opened up a big early lead on #1 Madison. By the end of the second inning the Wildcats of Centreville were up 7-0 via a few walks, five singles, and a Jake Carpenter sacrifice fly. Madison answered with three of their own in the top of the third. It all started with back to back doubles from Cooper Hoffman and Bo Kuhblank. Slowly but surely the Madison Warhawks continued to creep back in it a little more every inning. Three walks, a single, and sacrifice fly balls from Colin Tuft (UVA) and Cooper Hoffman made it 7-5.

In the top of the fifth the Warhawks would take the lead and never look back. Cooper Hoffman came through again with a quality ten pitch at bat, singling through the left side on a breaking ball for an RBI that gave Madison the 8-7 lead. Bo Kuhblank would once again double, scoring Tuft and Hoffman making it 10-7.

Colin Tuft capped the night off with a grand slam to make it 15-7 in the top of the sixth and Evan Blair (Washington & Lee) registered a six out save with UCONN commit Ramsey Collins getting the win.

Here are notes and video on some players that stood out on Friday.
