Manchester

Andrew Brown OF / SS / Manchester , VA / 2022

Brown is an interesting uncommitted senior that would be a nice pickup late in the game. From a balanced stance Brown was really short and quick to contact, especially in two strike counts. Willing to adjust by shortening up and putting the ball in play with runners at third. Had two RBI's on the day with both being deeper in the count. Versatile defender who plays shortstop in high school and is capable, but probably long term outfielder. Plenty of arm strength with carry on throws.

Aiden Harris 3B / RHP / Manchester , VA / 2024

Long 6-foot-3 frame. Saw him on the offensive side a few weeks back and wanted to get back out to see him on the mound, which is where he impressed last year as a freshman. Normal effort in the delivery. Sits lower in the backside, down and out stride, and lands on line. Full arm action and throws from a high three-quarter arm slot. The higher slot creates downhill plane on the 84-87 mph fastball and plays best at the bottom of the zone. Did not have a good feel for the secondary in the early innings, but settled in well and got the slider going around the third inning. Showed what appeared to be two different breaking balls, a curveball and a slider. The curveball sat 70-73 mph and tended to back up with a bigger gradual break. The slider worked in the 72-74 mph range with tighter shape and downer bite when he got it out front. Also, showed a fading changeup at 74-75 mph. The secondary got better throughout the outing, but it was the fastball that carried the load during this start. Velo held well throughout, still sitting 84-86 mph in his fifth and final inning.

Bryce Adams SS / 2B / Clover Hill, VA / 2023

Athletic frame with lean strength throughout and twitch in actions. Balanced stance, weight evenly distributed, and level path to contact. It is a balanced swing and approach. Used the whole field in approach and showed some sneaky strength at the plate. Flew out to right in his first at bat, going with a 86 mph fastball. Later on he hit a hard line drive over shortstop and in his final at bat he flew out to deep left field. Above average athlete with a consistent hit tool.

Clark Driscoll C / RHP / Clover Hill , VA / 2022

Will Maloney SS / RHP / Clover Hill, VA / 2022

Maloney, an uncommitted senior, had a solid start on Monday versus Manchester. Athletic delivery with a slight drop and drive down the mound. Late intent to the delivery and lands falling off to the first base side. Maloney sat 82-84 mph early and touched 85 twice, but lacked ability to find the zone with the fastball in the first two to three innings. Although the control of the fastball did not sure up until mid-innings, the breaking ball carried the load and got him through fairly unscathed. He showed really good feel for the 69-72 mph breaking ball with 12/6 shape and depth.

Connor Powell SS / 3B / Clover hill , VA / 2024

6-foot, 185-pound frame that has cleaned up and filled in well. Balanced, slightly upright stance, and simple pickup to stride. Lands square and hands load to a slight wrap. Quick hands, level path, and produces loud contact. Interesting offensive piece in the 2024 class that has added nice strength and it has translated well into the swing.
