The Virginia Underclass Games were held on June 20th, 2018 on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Our Rapid Reaction from our events of last continues  today as we move on to this  event.

Tyler Davis LHP / OF / Grafton, VA / 2020

Davis is a strong bodied lefty arm with some projection still down the road. He has an athletic arm circle with quick arm speed while pitching with regular effort. Davis showed command on the day pounding the strike zone and attacking hitters. His ability to create good arm speed with regular effort leads me to believe there will be more down the road. He showed nice feel for his breaking ball that sat in the 72-73 mph range.

Brock Duff RHP / 1B / Brookville, VA / 2021

Duff is a strong bodied right-hander with projection in his frame and looks to have a bright future as a potential power arm. Duff posted the top velo at the event, getting up to 85 mph on the day with a longer arm action throwing from a high three quarter. His frame tend to believe there should be plenty of durability in the arm and there should be more down te road as he continues to develop. The Lynchburg area talent added a sharp slider type breaking ball at 72 mph with potential to be a solid no. 2 pitch. One to keep an eye on.

Justin Rebok RHP / OF / Broad Run, VA / 2020

Rebok has a very projectable frame with his length and solid bases to build upon. During his outing he showed a loose arm action with some arm speed that give plenty of reason to believe that he will throw harder down the road as long as he continues his development process. He was up to 82 on the day and will be one to keep an eye on as he adds to that frame.

Albert Redding RHP / Patriot, VA / 2020

Redding possesses a large 6-foot-6, 250-pound frame that is imposing when toeing the rubber. With his height it was easy for the righty to work downhill and the 82 mph fastball looked more as a dart coming out of his hand as hitters had less time to react. His 73 mph breaking ball showed potential as did the delivery and his quicker arm action. As he transforms his frame, Redding could be an arm you will want to keep an eye on.

Connor Fuhrman SS / OF / Lord Botetourt , VA / 2022

Keep an eye out for this talented incoming freshman in the 2022 class. Fuhrman showed two way potential already with his arm strength on the mound while pitching with light effort at and showing arm strength at 80 mph. Fuhrman impressed the most on the offensive end, showing versatility on the diamond in the infield and strength at the plate with a high leg kick load and level path who was already up to 90 mph in exit velo. This Roanoke area talent will be one to follow.

Zian Honaker LHP / OF / Salem (S), VA / 2020

A long and lanky lefty out of the Roanoke area Salem HS, Honaker has a projectable frame with his high waist and plenty of rrom to add to his frame. He has a loose arm action throwing from an almost over the top slot while pitching with regular effort. The ball came out well from the lefty up to 81 mph and should continue to climb as he adds to his frame and gets stronger

Dylan Jones RHP / OF / Manchester, VA / 2022

Another 2022 who impressed, this Richmond area talent had a solid compact frame and will bring two way potential. Jones looks to project more currently as an outfielder with his athleticism and quick hands at the plate, but showed very well on the mound, getting up to 80 mph. At the plate Jones showed some strength with a compact swing and quick hands with the ability to spray the ball around the field. Another to keep an eye on down the road.
