Today we release an update to the 2027 class. There has been some significant changes in this class, especially in the middle of the rankings. In additon to some movement, we are also expanding this class from the Top 100 to the Top 125. The fall tournament season brought in plenty of the top 2027's from across the state for our staff to evaluate. Below you will find a few highlighted players from inside the Top 50.

+ Colt Bradshaw - Cox HS - SS

Compact and athletic middle infielder. Bradshaw has long been one of the best defenders in this class, but his offensive improvements are what have allowed him to remain one of the top ranked players in the state. Many young infielders who are talented defenders, are usually a step behind on the offensive side. While the Cox HS product is not a physical bat, he does produce a little more juice at the plate than you would maybe assume. The quality of contact has improved and he continues to defend at a high level.

+ Ben Weber - Centreville HS - OF

Look for Weber in a New Faces piece later this week, but we would be remissed if we didn't mention his ascent into the 2027 class rankings. Pretty young for the class, not even 15 yr 6 mo at this time, while there are others in this class that much, much older. Sub 6.8 runner with a heavy barrel and the ability to impact the ball from gap to gap. Weber stood out in a few tournaments that we saw him in this summer and fall, and would later make a big statement at the Mid-Atlantic State Games in early November.

+ Luke Raflo - Battlefield HS - C

6-foot-2, 172-pound athletic frame. Square and evenly proportioned stance at the plate. Fairly upright in the upper half and has a level path through the zone. Doubles power in both gaps and it plays in game, as he showed this spring and once again at the State Games this fall. When locked in at the plate, the offense has shown to be really solid, but it does come in waves at times. While the arm strength remains average, the accuracy to the bag has improved and it was a quicker exchange and release at the State Games.
