Today we release an update to the 2027 class. While there is no expansion from the current 125, there was some movement in the middle with the top ten staying the same. Early season high school games and the looks our staff has gotten has allowed us to make some small adjustments, but the majority of this class remains status quo. Below you will find a few highlighted players from the VA/DC 2027 class.

+ Wright Broadhead - Highland School-3B

Broadhead continues to make strides in his development. It's a physical 5-foot-11, 195-pound frame that can impact the baseball. It is a controlled load that has whippy hands that can turn the barrel with above average bat speed with some pull side tendencies. He made a big statement at our Preseason All-State event in Ashburn where he took some eye opening rounds. He averaged 92.4 mph exits with a max of 101.2 mph.  He also showed some arm strength that could give him a chance to stick at the hot corner. With the ability to impact the baseball he can have the potential to be a big time middle of the order bat.

+ Grayson Morris - Monacan HS - 3B

Morris is a new face entering into the rankings. It is a lean 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with still plenty of room to add strength. It's a quiet setup with slight rhythm in the hands that gets the barrel slightly uphill. He shows feel for the barrel that works gap to gap. Defensively it's a corner profile with good pocket presence and soft hands that gets in sync and moves well laterally. There is some upside left with still some young features. As he continues to get stronger it could be a impact bat that can defend in the infield.

+ Wyatt Parker - Mechanicsville HS - SS

Parker is a familiar face to the rankings but has made some nice strides over the winter to make a move up. There's one thing that hasn't changed and it's his ability to defend. He has fluid actions with in control footwork to go along with a above average arm that gives him a chance to stick on the left side of the infield. One of the biggest improvements is that the foot speed has improved since the fall. He turned in a 3.87 30-yard dash at the Preseason All-State Richmond event earlier this winter. The offense continues to take strides as well as it's more line drives, using the whole field approach.
