Overall Summary

Kamiakin enters this spring as one of the premier programs in the eastern part of the state. The Braves return a large majority of the top of their lineup and pitching, and have an incredibly strong junior and senior class. On the mound, Yakima Valley commit '25 RHP Zach Swanson returns as an arm that can run his fastball into the low 90's. Swanson is an imposing high school prescence in a towering 6'5 frame. Though the transfer of RHP Deegan Quesenberry will hurt, senior arm and Whitworth commit Tommy Lamb returns after logging big innings for the Braves as well. What should really generate excitement about Kamiakin is the top part of their lineup, headlined by a middle infield duo of Gonzaga commit '26 Zach Vega and uncommitted '26 Taron Carlson. Both are top-35 prospects in the state for the junior class and are potent bats. Senior outfielder and Whitworth commit Trent Woodhouse is another key part of the lineup returning after hitting in the three hole a season ago. Prep Baseball is circling matchups with Eastlake, Kennewick and Richland as some of the bigger matchups for the Braves this season. With plenty of returning talent, look for Kamiakin to once again dominate this spring.
