Coaches Outlook: “I think we've got a pretty experienced, deep group coming back from a team that lost in the Metro Championship to the eventual state champs. It'll be tough to replace two graduated 1st Team performers, but I really like both the impact and the depth of our lineup. I really like our defense and our flexibility with position players that pitch. And I think we'll have enough pitching to hang with any team in the state.  Goal #1 is winning our first Metro Championship since '96 and goal #2 is winning our first state championship in school history.” – Doug Montgomery, Head Coach

Overall Summary

The Beavers come into 2025 with lofty expectations after exiting early in the state playoffs last spring. Led by standout senior and UCLA commit C/RHP Truitt Madonna, Ballard returns a huge portion of last season's roster. Fellow senior arm Dylan Wallblom returns after logging over 45 innings last season, while Fischer Witt could see a bigger role after impressing in limited action last season. Brady Miailovich impressed in a fall look at a Prep Baseball event and should be a versatile piece defensively. Junior Miles Soja is another key cog on both sides of the baseball. Head coach Doug Montgomery is looking forward to Ballard's matchups with O'Dea, Lakeside, and Bishop Blanchet, as the Beavers hope to use their depth and experience this season.
