Nearly 600 uncommitted underclassmen traveled to LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Ga. for the Prep Baseball Future Games this past July. After a 2023 event in which more than 375 college coaches were in attendance, a total of 425 coaches were out in full force at this year's edition. Of the nearly 600 uncommitted players, over 250 are now Division I commits (and counting), with 6 of those players being from Team PNW.

This week, we spotlight 2026 RHP McCrea Curfman. The Bainbridge High School arm earned an invite to the Future Games after a breakout spring and a strong showing at Preseason All-State on the bump. An impressive athlete, Curfman ran a 7.01 60-yard dash in Georgia and has a strong line drive approach at the plate, but his most advanced part of his game is on the mound to this point.

The 5'8 righthander featured a three-pitch mix in Georgia, consistently attacking the zone with a starter's profile. At Future Games, the fastball sat 83-86 for the most part, topping out at 87.6 MPH with 2416 RPM of spin. The slider showed impressive depth, sitting 72-75 with a max spin rate of 2510 RPM. The changeup flashed as an especially strong third option in the upper 70's with an average of 18.6 inches of run. With a simple, repeatable delivery, Curfman should continue to dominate at the high school level and will be a high-end prospect to keep an eye on moving forward.
