Washington 2026 Rankings - Top Risers
December 5, 2024
This week, Prep Baseball Washington unveiled our latest 2026 Player Rankings Update. The final rankings update of the year for the junior class was a culmination of many looks obtained by Prep Baseball scouts throughout 2024.
The 2026 Rankings Update was the second of a four week stretch in rankings updates for the high school classes. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more rankings content, including the first unveiling of the class of 2028 player rankings.
Despite minimal movement in the top ten, many players made significant jumps in the rankings after breakout performances in the late summer/early fall time frame. Below, we spotlight three players who had some of the bigger jumps up the latest rankings list.
Top Risers
Troy Robinson SS / 2B / Roosevelt, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 103 (⬆️54) / POS: 21
The Roosevelt High School athlete earned a bump up the rankings after a strong performance at the Seattle Fall ID. Quickness present in field with soft hands and short arm action to throw, creating ideal middle infielder. 7.16 second 60-yard dash runner. Features simple RH swing with heavy load into shorter bat path, producing line drives consistently. |
Cruz Escandon SS / Edmonds Woodway, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 40 (⬆️30) / POS: 10
One of several 2026's with a commitment announcement this fall, Escandon will be headed to Washington State University to play his college baseball. The shortstop stood out on both sides of the baseball this spring in multiple looks, including a standout diving play and several base hits at the state championships in Pasco. The lean-framed athlete has a knack for the moment and should be a major piece for Edmonds-Woodway the next two seasons.

RJay Garza OF / SS / Othello High School, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 124 (⬆️31) / POS: 26
6'2 athlete with upside that stood out at a scout day this summer. A 7.03 runner, Garza's well-rounded game was on display with quality rounds of batting practice and sound defensive actions both in the infield and outfield. Features a loose, whippy swing that can drive the ball in the air with authority, with a 328 foot shot the highlight of BP rounds. Plenty of room to add strength to frame, will be an intruiging prospect to keep an eye on moving forward. |
