The 2027 Rankings Update was the third of a four week stretch in rankings updates for the high school classes. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more rankings content, including the first unveiling of the class of 2028 player rankings.

Many players saw significant jumps in the 2027 ranks after looks at Prep Baseball events this fall. Below are spotlights on three of these risers, including video from their events.

Top Risers

Hudson Thom OF / LHP / Tahoma, WA / 2027

One of the highest rankings debutees after a standout showing at the Seattle Fall ID. 5'10 athlete did it all at the workout, running a 6.97 60-yard dash, posting a 97.3 MPH max exit velocity and pounding the strike zone as a left-handed pitcher. The swing really stands out with a slow load and coil into an explosive trigger with plus bat speed. Smooth defender in the outfield, can stick in center field. Very well-rounded player.

Breckin Davisson 1B / RHP / Snohomish, WA / 2027

Davisson also makes his rankings debut after attending the Seattle Fall ID. 6'2 athlete has projectability on both sides of the baseball. Features a steady intent on the mound from a full wind. Loose, whippy arm with plus breaking pitches as well. Also showcased a sound righty swing with exit velocities in the low 90's. Potential to play either corner INF position with skill shown defensively.

Austin Catini OF / 1B / Mount Si, WA / 2027

The Mount Si High School athlete features a lean, athletic frame with natural actions in his game. Balanced setup from the right hand side of the plate leads to flatter, line drive approach. Strong through contact with a longer two-handed finish. Posted a peak exit velocity of 95.4 MPH and an average of 87.4 MPH. A 7.34 runner, Catini carries his momentum through throws in the outfield with a strong arm and a tucked gloveside follow.
