Washington Uncommitted Spotlight - '25 C Ryker Ruelas
January 20, 2025
As we enter 2025, Prep Baseball Washington continues our offseason series of Uncommitted Spotlights, highlighting standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball showcase event in 2024. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.
This week, we spotlight 2025 catcher Ryker Ruelas. The 6'2, 180 pound athlete had a strong showing at NW Futures Scout Day, which led to an invite to PNW State Games late in the summer. Ruelas played for the ProCase team that featured some of the top talents in the '25 class.
Ruelas possesses several standout tools, with plus speed at the catching position running a 6.85 second 60-yard dash. He also flashed sub-two second pop times and exit velocities consistently in the low 90's during BP rounds. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.
