Washington Uncommitted Spotlight - '25 RHP Zach Swanson

As we enter December, Prep Baseball Washington continues our offseason series of Uncommitted Spotlights, highlighting standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball showcase event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

This week, we spotlight 2025 RHP Zach Swanson. The righty arm burst onto the scene last winter at the Central Washington Preseason ID. The Kamiakin High School product ran his fastball up to 91 MPH while flashing a slider/changeup offspeed combination as well.

The 6'5 righty has a stockier, athletic frame and works with a high intent. The ball can really jump out of the hand. Swanson was also seen at the NW Scout Games at the University of Portland this summer. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including video and a scouting report from the Prep Baseball event.
