As we enter December, Prep Baseball Washington continues our offseason series of Uncommitted Spotlights, highlighting standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball showcase event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

This week, we spotlight 2026 RHP/OF JW Grose. The junior out of Glacier Peak High School had a solid all-around performance at this summer's Pacific Northwest State Games in Vancouver, WA. A lean-framed 6'2 athlete, Grose offers upside on both sides of the baseball to go alongside some present tools.

The righty arm features a slight cross-body fire of a delivery, filling up the zone with a fastball up to 83.6 MPH. Grose features a slider and changeup in the 70's as well. At the plate, the right-handed bat carries a heavy barrel through the zone with long limbs, posting a peak exit velocity of 93.1 MPH. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.
