Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '25 Barrett Schnetz (Yelm).

WA HITTER OF THE WEEK (3/10-3/15)

Barrett Schnetz OF / RHP / Yelm High School, WA / 2025 Schnetz earns Hitter of the Week Honors after finishing with an impressive .833 batting average in week one action. The senior slugged a triple and two doubles in addition to drawing two walks. Schnetz also drove in four and scored four runs. The senior was most recently seen at the 2025 Pacific Northwest Preseason ID.
