The PBR Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event that features the best uncommitted Class of 2019 prospects from the PBR Coverage area. The Future Games will take place on August 2-5^th at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. The Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2019 prospects. Last year more than 150 colleges from all over the country were in attendance.

Today we will preview Team Wisconsin for the 2017 PBR Future Games with a position by position breakdown.

Thursday- 4:45 PM Batting Practice, 6:00 PM game vs. Team Indiana
Friday- 12:45 PM Batting Practice, 2:00 PM game vs. Team Illinois
Saturday- 10:15 AM Batting Practice, 11:00 AM game vs. Team Iowa/Minnesota

Pitchers

+ The Wisconsin pitching staff will be headlined by Jack Washburn (Webster). Washburn is the son of former big leaguer Jarrod Washburn, who spent 12 years in the majors. Jack had an impressive year with Webster going 8-0 in the regular season with a 0.59 ERA. In 59.2 innings pitched he racked up 111 strikeouts. At the Madison Preseason I.D. Showcase this spring Washburn worked 85-86 topping out at 87 mph with his fastball to go along with a curveball at 74-76 mph with 12-6 shape and late breaking action.

 

+ The rest of the pitching staff will be filled out by LHPs Andrew Biertzer (West Bend West), Trent Ehlers (Sturgeon Bay), Trey Krause (Burlington), and Connor Langreder (West De Pere) along with RHPs Austin Glidden (Westosha Central), Luke Hansel (Union Grove), Drew Lescznski (Brookfield Central),  Riley LeTourneau (Brookfield East), Hunter Rosenbaum (Webster), and Mitchell Woelfle (Janesville Craig).

Washburn's Webster HS teammate Hunter Rosenbaum is poised to make a big jump this week. Rosenbaum has seen a spike in velocity this summer and could be one of the biggest surprises of the event. 

Infield

+ The middle of the infield will be locked down by Zach Lechnir (Kimberly). Lechnir posses a high baseball IQ and handles the bat well with advanced actions in the infield. As a sophomore starting on Division 1 State Champion Kimberly Lechnir hit .351 with seven doubles and a team high 18 stolen bases.

+ The rest of the Wisconsin infield will be Tyler Brandenburg (Lake Country Lutheran), Dylan Krumrei (Oshkosh North), Ryan Mazza (Brookfield East), Bubba Thompson (Appleton West), and Brent Widder (Sheboygan North).

Outfield

+ The Wisconsin outfield will be highlighted by one of the most projectable players in the Wisconsin 2019 Class in 6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed hitting Steve Jamroziak (Muskego). Jamroziak originally committed to Oklahoma back in March, but after a coaching change he reopened his recruiting. Drew Lechnir (Kimberly) is the twin brother of Zach and also started for state champion Kimberly. Zach is a left handed hitting centerfielder who can hit at the top of the order with above average speed. Drew Lescznski (Brookfield Central) has one of the best arms in the state and will see time in both the outfield and on the mound, where he has been up to 87 mph in the past.

 

+The rest of the outfield will be filled out by Jack Haufle (Oregon) and Alexander Huissen (Indian Trail). Haufle is a bit of an under the radar prospect as well, with a projectable frame, left-handed bat, big arm, and athleticism to play the outfield and catch, Haufle could emerge as a very attractive asset this week. 

Catcher

+ Jack Haufle (Oregon) and Adam Juran (Sauk Prairie) will handle the pitching staff at the Future Games. Juran is an advanced defensive catcher with high end catch and throw skills. His arm carries well and could come out of the Future Games as one of the biggest risers in the class.
