Connor Wollersheim makes anticipated return to mound at Top Prospect Showcase

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Supervisor – Wisconsin/Illinois

Connor Wollersheim has been through a lot in the last year.  The 2015 LHP underwent the all too common Tommy John surgery in June of 2013 and then had to jump through a few hoops in order to finalize his transfer from Neenah to Appleton North this year.

12 Months later and Wollersheim is now cleared to throw at 100% and word on the street is that he is looking better than ever before. When the Class of 2015 Rankings were released back in December of 2012 Wollersheim was touted as the top prospect in the state. Since being on the shelf for about a year now he has since slipped to No. 20 in the state but no one has lost track of the 6-foot-2, 170-pound LHP.

On Thursday, June 19, Wollersheim will be in attendance at the Top Prospect Showcase which will be somewhat of a coming out party for him. If all things go well, Wollersheim should see himself back up towards the top of the rankings and collecting interest from several schools around the Midwest.

Wollersheim will be joining several of Wisconsin’s top prospects this year as the roster is loaded with talent from both Illinois and Wisconsin.
