Monday April 15

Brookfield Academy 3, Kenosha Christian Life 2

Nate Stolte carried Brookfield Academy a 3-2 victory over Kenosha Christian Life on Monday with a strong game at the plate and on the bump.

Stolte went 1-for-2 for the Blue Knights and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth inning.

Stolte also pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits. Stolte faced his trickiest spot in the seventh inning as the Eagles got an RBI double from Bryan Charbogian to bring the Eagles within one. Stolte then got two consecutive outs leaving the tying run stranded in scoring position.

Brian Rintelman went 2-for-3 for Kenosha Christian scoring both Eagle runs.

Sam Merlock struck out 10 Blue Knights in defeat as he pitched five strong innings for Kenosha Christian.

Waterloo 15, Mayville 1

A magnificent effort by Nathan McCunn carried Waterloo to a 15-1 win in five innings over Mayville on Monday at Fireman's Park.

McCunn racked up six RBI on a perfect 3-for-3 day for Waterloo. McCunn blasted a pair of homeruns separated by a single in the second. The senior outfielder also scored three times.

Eleven runs in the first three innings helped Waterloo blow out Mayville, thanks in large part to the efforts of McCunn.

Ben Lincks had an impressive outing against the Mayville lineup. Mayville managed just one hit off of Lincks, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Brookwood 13, Necedah 2

The Necedah Cardinals lost 13-2 to Brookwood at Necedah High School on Monday as Ryan Flock allowed one hit over five innings, striking out eight.

Brookwood blew the game wide open in the second scoring nine runs to put the game out of reach for good.

Junior Chuck Arnold drove in two RBI with two hits for Brookwood in the win.

Riverside University 14, Bradley 6

Bradley Tech didn't put up much of a fight on Monday, as the Riverside University Tigers cruised to a blowout 14-6 win in five innings.

The Tigers scored seven runs in the fifth on an RBI double by Yeidel Garcia, a two-run double by Anthony Desarden, an RBI single by John Parlier, a wild pitch, and an RBI single by Steven Cirino.

Desarden went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for Riverside University, collecting two RBI and scoring three runs.

Alejandro Smith had an impressive outing against Bradley Tech's lineup. Bradley Tech managed just one hit off of the Tiger pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out nine during his four innings of work.

Burlington 8, Racine Case 3

The Burlington Demons beat Case 8-3 in seven innings on Monday at Beaumont behind Chandler Meseberg, who drove in four runs with a third inning grand slam.

Nolan Friend got the win for the Demons. He allowed two runs over five innings. Friend struck out eight, walked three and gave up five hits.

Freshman Tanner Strommen pitched the final two innings in relief to seal the victory for Burlington, giving up just one hit and one unearned run.

Hillsboro 13, Wonewoc Center 2

It was a tight game until Hillsboro scored seven late runs for the 13-2 victory over Wonewoc-Center.

Hillsboro's Brandon Stanek, Chucky Strait, Jake Stockwell and Matthew Anderson combined for six hits and seven RBI.

Badger 8, Oconomowoc 1

Oconomowoc had a tough outing on Monday, as Badger dominated in an 8-1 win in seven innings at UW-Whitewater.

Travis Stahulak racked up two RBI on two hits for Badger, also scoring a run. Colton Andresen also drove in two and scored two.

La Crosse Aquinas 6, Tomah 5

The Blugold pulled out a late inning victory over Tomah 6-5.

The bottom of the first saw the Blugold take an early lead, 3-0. Nolan Ritter got things going for the Blugold with a single. Mike Kelly later singled, scoring Ritter and Jon Wilson. Blugold pushed more runs across when Rudy Rott scored on an error.

Mike Kelly went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a walk for La Crosse Aquinas.

Vinny Pinterro racked up three hits for Tomah including a double and one RBI.

Markesan 6, Cambria-Friesland 1

Sophomore Hector Aguinaga led the offense for Markesan going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.

Junior Andrew Gibbons added three RBI with two hits.

Senior Vince Stensrud collected the win going six strong innings and striking out 11.
