Future Games Preview: Tyler Becker

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director – Wisconsin/Illinois

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event featuring the top 2016 prospects from across our 10 state coverage area. This year taking place at Grand Park in Westfield, IN from July 31-August 2, hundreds of scouts from across the country will fill the stands to watch some of the top uncommitted 2016 prospects across our coverage area.

Last year Wisconsin’s Class of 2015 Future Games Team went undefeated and has already seen eight Division 1 commitments from that roster. Over the next several weeks leading up to the event we will unveil prospects who have been selected to participate in this year's event with a brief history and bio of the player and what we can expect from him at the PBR Future Games.

Name: Tyler BeckerTyler Becker
High School: Menomonee Falls
Graduating Class: 2016
Position: RHP
Height: 6-2
Weight: 180

Rank
State: 14
Overall: 139

Becker possesses the typical pitchers frame at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds and has plenty of room to go. Becker is just scratching the surface of his abilities. In February we saw Becker touch 85 mph with his fastball and show feel around the zone with it. His arm works long and clean, holding more velocity in the tank.

Becker currently shows two above average secondary offerings with a curveball and changeup. His curveball looks to be more advanced at the moment sitting 71-73 with above average feel and action.

Becker joins a big staff of strong armed pitchers from the Badger State heading to the Future Games and looks to leave a lasting mark.
