The Skinny: Elsen has really swung the bat well starting at the end of the high school season, and carried the success over to the summer. Confident approach at the plate with wiry power. Showed strength thru contact with 91 mph exit velocity from a tee this past spring.

Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 170-pound, right-handed hitter, lanky athletic frame, projects well. Showed good bat speed on a double to left, has pop in bat, strong hitter. Ran a 4.57 on a 4-3 groundout. Showed good range in the outfield, ability to go back on the baseball away from glove side, plays in stride.
