The 2021 WIAA season has finally come to an end, with all four divisions crowning a state roughly two weeks ago in Appleton. After scavenging through statistics and digging up as much information as we can, we’ve started to designate our All-State team selections.

We heavily based the selection of the all-state team on statistical performance and took into account outside factors like strength of conference and competition, etc., and we landed on the names listed below representing all pockets and divisions from Wisconsin.

Our first and second team all-state selections were announced earlier on, which you can find by clicking HERE. Today, we’ll conclude our 2021 WIAA season coverage with the announcement of our Third Team All-State nominees.

CATCHER

Joseph Ricchio C / 1B / Tremper, WI / 2021

Ricchio did it all for Tremper in his last season, leading them offensively while captaining their defense and pitching staff from behind the plate. He slashed .442/.567/.636 with 11 extra-base hits and drove 25 runs in as well. Ricchio walked (14) more than he struck out (10) and scored 29 runs as well.
