Hit towards the middle of the lineup for Cangelosi Sparks and also emerged a winner from this winter’s Lockport Rising Stars ID. Physical presence in the box with above-average hand strength for age and thump off the barrel. Got off several aggressive hacks before turning on an inner-half fastball for a no-doubt home run.

Brett Tucker, RHP, Lemont (IL), 2026
Lean frame with wiry strength. Started for Cangelosi Sparks on the mound Friday afternoon and twirled an impressive outing. Loose quick arm with above-average arm speed for age, threw from a high ¾ slot. Repeated a clean tall/fall type delivery with present rhythm, athletic downhill mover, downhill, maintained direction to target throughout. Attacked hitters with a lively fastball at 77-79 mph, T80 mph with life east-to-west. Regularly turned to curveball as a putaway pitch; 64-66 mph with depth off an 11/5 action and sharp downer spin. Athletic prospect to follow on the mound as his high school career begins.

CANGELOSI SPARKS NORTH

Oliver Thulin, RHP, Downers Grove North (IL), 2026
Athletic 5-foot-10,145-pound frame. Started on the mound for Cangelosi Sparks North in the nightcap. Well above-average arm speed for age; arm travels on a short path out of the glove and whips out front to release from a high ¾ slot. Simple tall/fall type delivery with minimal added movement, quick downhill with consistent tempo, short strider, works direct to target and stays in line. Fastball jumps out the hand at 80-82 mph, touching 83 mph in the first two innings with jump and run to both corners of the plate; especially comfortable working to the arm-side corner. Flashed mid-60s curveball with tight downer spin off a 12/6 plane and featured a more firm cutter-type offering with some lateral spin in warmups. Certainly owns upside on the mound with athleticism and twitchy arm speed to pair.

Lean 5-foot-10, 125-pounds left-handed pitcher. Created soft contact using a three pitch mix. 18 first pitch strikes to 25 hitters with five strikeouts. Fluid tall-and-fall delivery, shoulders closed off slightly to home, lands squared with an athletic finish. Long, winged arm action with a high ¾ slot. Athletic 5-foot-10, 140-pound frame. Advanced location for age group, had the ability to throw three pitches wherever and whenever he wanted to. Sat 73-75 mph with the fastball, and also mixed in changeups and sliders with swing-and-miss material. Shut down a strong lineup for three straight innings, working comfortably with a quick pace in between pitches. Left-handed pitcher to follow as he enters his prep career.

ILLINOIS PREMIER - KEENER

Logan Huegel, INF, N/A (IL), 2026
Strong frame with noticeable physicality for his age. Started at third base for Illinois Premier in Friday’s nightcap. Works from an upright stance in the box and high hand start, draws slightly back at load and utilizes a slight leg lift timing trigger. Above-average hand and bat strength for age, long path to contact and created some elevated contact to the pull-side. Blasted a deep ball foul before turning on an inner-half fastball for a loud base hit to left field. Physical right-handed hitter with middle-of-the-order juice off the barrel.

Arm played average across the diamond in-game, accurate to the bag. Athletic at the plate, long aggressive bat path to contact with a pull-side approach. Drove a fastball deep over the left field fence for a no-doubt home run on Fenway Field. Follow defender who’s prospect status will tick up throughout his high school career should he continue making strides offensively.

IMPACT SPORTS ACADEMY

Colin Reddy, RHP, Appleton North, 2026

At 5-foot-11 and 155-pounds, Reddy featured a long and lean body that allowed him to get downhill on the mound during his appearance on Friday. With a high ¾ arm slot, Reddy sat in the low 70s for most of the game, and topped out at 73 mph. Held a talented lineup to two runs in seven innings of work. Was consistently able to break off of a slider that presented a 11/5 break, keeping hitters off balance throughout the game. Showed advanced pitching skills for his age group, making him a prospect to watch out for in the future.

LONGSHOTS BASEBALL TEAL

Connor Burgess, C, Downers Grove (IL), 2026

Flashed a strong arm from behind the dish, along with quick feet. Highly projectable frame at 5-foot-10, and room to grow at 120-pounds. Had the ability to consistently block balls in the dirt. MINNESOTA ICEMEN

Taylan Siens, RHP/SS, St. Michael-Albertville (MN), 2026

Also flashed a curveball with a 12-6 break, and a spin rate advanced for age group. Was able to throw both pitches for strikes. Struck out a couple of hitters in his performance on Friday night.

After falling behind 4-0 in the first six innings of their game, the Minnesota Icemen 14U came roaring back in the 7th inning to get a victory on Friday afternoon against Windy City Black. With the help of a sacrifice fly from 1B/3B CJ Splettoesser (Albertville, MN, 2025), and a three RBI double from 3B Brett Buettner (Andover, MN 2025), the Icemen were able to tie the game at four. A throw down to third and an error by the third baseman allowed Buettner to score and walk off the game for the Icemen. They finished with a 2-0 record over the first two days of the tournament.

NAPERVILLE RENEGADES AMERICAN

Nicolas Pisciotta, OF, Wheaton North (IL), 2026

PTA CARDINAL

Brayden Alivo, INF, St. Thomas More, 2026

At a projectable 5-foot-9, 140-pounds, Alivo strung together a big game for PTA Cardinal squad in their win to start their weekend. Hitting in the three hole and also playing SS, Alivo tallied a pair of singles to drive in one run to lead this PTA squad to the win. Also he made some tough plays defensively, ranging well from side-to-side and showing carry/accuracy on all of his throws. This was our staff's first time seeing Alivo since the Milwaukee Rising Stars ID event, where he came away as a winner.

TOP TIER AMERICANS

Callaghan O’Connor, RHP/INF, Bishop McNamara (IL), 2026

At a highly projectable 6-foot-4, 185-pounds, O’Connor has all the makings of a top prospect in the Midwest’s 2026 class. Despite his large stature, O’Connor is an athletic mover while on the mound, showcasing clean, repeatable mechanics. He got his fastball up to 84 mph and sat anywhere from 80-83 that showed some late life through the zone, and mixed in a breaker that flashed a sharp 11/5 break. O’Connor impressed throughout his outing and should be a name to closely monitor as he starts his prep career.

Logan Wroughton, INF/RHP, Mount Carmel (IN), 2026

Lanky 5-foot-10, 135-pound frame. Got the start for Top Tier in their first game of the weekend. On the mound, Wroughton ran his fastball up to 78 mph with a loose, whippy arm. Showed major confidence in a changeup that showed late depth and run. Wroughton also impressed at the plate, working directly towards the ball to drive it hard, favoring his pull-side gap.

WINDY CITY

Jory Crocker, RHP/SS, Willowbrook (IL), 2026
Long, lanky high-waisted frame that projects; arms nearly touch his knee caps. Drew the start for Windy City in their first game of the weekend early Friday afternoon. Arm plays with some length on the backside and finishes from a high ¾ slot. Tall/fall type delivery, upright at balance point before engaging downhill, level shoulders to glove tuck, above-average extension at front foot strike and maintains direction to target; repeats. Worked with pace and rhythm throughout his outing. Fastball held 76-78 mph throughout, relied on it heavily and comfortably threw to all areas of the zone while favoring the upper-quadrant with two strikes. Occasionally flipped in a mid-60s breaking ball as a change-of-pace offering, developing feel to spin. Quieted a quality lineup through 6 ⅓ innings, allowing only two hits and punching out 12 while walking one.
