Prep Baseball Report would like to introduce Clark Eagan, a Class of 2013 graduate of Appleton North HS. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Eagan has committed to play for Arkansas after his senior year. The first baseman/outfielder is one of the top prospects in the state of Wisconsin and is coming off a 2^nd Team All-State selection in 2012. Here’s what Eagan has to say about playing for the Razorbacks and what this year might bring.

PBR: Who is the best player you have faced in your state, and why?

Eagan: Nate Hoffman, Sun Prairie HS, now at Madison Area Technical College, he was the 2012 HS Pitcher of the Year.  He has a great fastball with good command of all his pitches.

PBR: What is your #1 personal goal for the 2013 season?

Eagan: To become the 2013 Wisconsin HS Player of the Year

PBR: What are some team goals that you have for 2013?

Eagan: To win another Fox Valley Association Conference Title, and make a 3^rd straight trip to the WIAA State Tournament

PBR: What are you looking for out of a college program to continue your baseball career at?

Eagan: I am looking for a chance to play in the College World Series.  I am also looking for a good fit academically and a good fit with teammates and coaches.  I want a program that will prepare me and get me exposure for the next level.

PBR: What is your best attribute as a baseball player and how does that transfer onto the field for your team?

Eagan: I am a fierce competitor in sports and all aspects of my life.  I am driven toward perfection.  This will transfer into being a great leader on and off the field for my peers.

PBR: What do you feel is the biggest adjustment you need to make in taking your game to the next level?

Eagan: I will need to physically get stronger and have better pitch discipline at the plate.

PBR: What do you like about the college you have committed to and why did you choose them?

Eagan: I have committed to the University of Arkansas because of their facilities and coaches.  I also chose Arkansas because it has been my dream to play in the SEC conference.

PBR: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?

Eagan: Always work hard and anything can happen.  Follow your dreams!

PBR: What do you do in the offseason to keep yourself in baseball shape and prepare for the upcoming season?

Eagan: I am a 3 sport athlete, but continue to work on baseball all year.

PBR: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?

Eagan: Leading off the 2012 WIAA State Tournament with a first pitch homerun off my good friend, Nate Hoffman, Sun Prairie.
