Ryan Schmitt, RHP, Arrowhead, 2016
Western Kentucky

Ryan Schmitt3/16/14 - Athletic build with length, 5-foot-10, 160-pound two-way player. Projects well on the mound, delivery is athletic, shows occasional effort, maintains athleticism from the stretch. Arm action is quick and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball has run, 85-87 mph, showed feel for the zone, has finish through the zone. Curveball works on 11/5 plane, throws with aggressive arm action, occasional sharp action, 70-72 mph, advanced pitch. Showed changeup to be best secondary pitch, thrown with fastball similar arm action, sinking action, 72-74 mph, with well above average control of the zone. Offensively hits from an open stance, short stride, lower hands. Short to the baseball, above average bat speed, 84 mph exit velocity. Defensively plays through the baseball athletically, quick arm action, high ¾ slot, gets carry, 87 mph from his crow hop. Gets down the line at 4.5. Schmitt is a high level 2016 prospect with a quick arm that projects for more velocity with added strength. Schmitt is a high follow in the region.

Nick Winter, OF, Milwaukee Lutheran, 2016
Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Nick Winter3/16/14- 5-foot-9, 130-pound two-way player, athletic build with length. Defensively showed advanced actions in the outfield, plays through the baseball athletically, attacks the baseball on the move, plays in stride. Arm works long and loose from a high ¾ slot, 81 mph from the outfield with some carry. 4.3 runner home to first from the left side. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, toe tap stride. Late timing, opposite field approach, singles guy. 76 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound works from a high ¾ slot, loose easy arm action. Fastball has later run, found the zone at 77 mph touching 78 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 61-62 mph. Slider has flatter shape, sweeping action, 63-64 mph. Changeup occasionally cuts, 61-63 mph.

Kanyon Fellers, LHP, Sun Prairie, 2015
Minnesota State

Kanyon Fellers3/16/14 - 6-foot-2, 170-pound left handed pitcher, lean athletic frame. Delivery is smooth and directional, maintains good balance, shows the ability to repeat delivery. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot, little effort. Fastball has control of the zone, 79-80 mph. Curveball is advanced pitch, possibly best curveball in the class, 72-74 mph, aggressive arm action, sharp biting action on 11/5 plane. Changeup has feel, slight fading action, 73-74 mph, fastball arm action. Fellers has aggressive fastball arm action on all of his pitches making him highly deceptive throwing out of the same window. Strong follow 2015.


Grant Frazer, SS, Oconto, 2016

Central Michigan

Grant Frazer2/9/14 - 6-foot, 165-pound athletic two-way prospect, athletic frame. On the mound, works from a high ¾ arm slot, quick arm action, short and loose arm action. Fastball has slight run, showed command, 81-83 mph, touched 84 mph. Slider showed confidence, 70-72 mph, sweeping action, throws with conviction. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 65-69 mph, slurve action. Changeup has action, flashed parachuting action, occasionally slows arm down, 62-64 mph. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, minimal loading action, short stride. Has loose hands at the plate, generates whip while maintaining balance. Short path, line drive, gap to gap type hitter, above average bat speed. 84 mph exit velocity. Defensively arm played at 80 mph across the diamond, short loose arm action, produces carry. Athletic feet, plays through the baseball, shuffles through release. 4.46 runner down the line. Frazer is a high follow in Wisconsin’s 2016 class.
