The Southern Wisconsin Open, formerly known as the Verona Invitational Showcase, hits Verona, WI for the second consecutive summer. The Open will take place at Stampfl Field on Friday, June 22.

Now a year removed from last year’s event, the showcase boasts multiple commitments. Tristan Largent (Concordia (WI)), Sam Nemetz (Marian (WI)) and Brock Wanninger (Loras College) have all signed to play at the collegiate level.

This year’s event will host graduates ranging from the 2019-22 classes. Of the attendees, LHP/1B Tyler Denu (Mount Horeb), a 2019 grad, is set to take part. Denu’s fastball has topped at 87 and sits mid-80s. He’s ranked No. 50 in the 2019 Wisconsin class; No. 8 at his position.

Position Players: Check-in at 9:00 – 9:15 a.m.

Pitchers: Check-in at 10:20 – 10:40 a.m.
