Southern Wisconsin Open Preview: Jason Abatto

The Southern Wisconsin Open is coming October 24 to Stiks Academy in Oconomowoc,, WI. This event will will be used as an identifier for future invite only events including the PBR Future Games. This week we will preview several of the top players scheduled to be in attendance.

Scouting Report: 3/15/15- 5-foot-7, 160-pound left-handed hitting infielder, stocky build with strength. Balanced stance, short heel lift stride. Compact swing, occasionally rotational, shows the ability to be short to the baseball. Line drive type, 78 mph exit velocity from the tee. Bat shows upside. Displayed some infield actions, most likely third base type. Arm action is short, high a ¾ slot. 73 mph across the diamond. Ran the 60 at 7.99.
