Stock Report: 2015 RHP Dustin Landers

Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director - Wisconsin

Today’s stock report is on right handed pitcher Dustin Landers. Landers is a Class of 2015 graduate from Kaukauna HS. Landers has been starting on the varsity squad since day one and contributing heavily. Last season as a freshman he put together a 2-4 record with a 2.47 ERA. He also struck out 45 in 45 and 1/3 innings pitched, while walking 24. He also earned himself post season recognition as an All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Landers stands 6-foot-1, 175-pounds and many in the area are raving about his arm strength. Head baseball coach Matt Blakeley said, "Dustin is the hardest thrower I have ever coached in high school. He has a natural arm action that cannot be taught. If he can add some good lean body weight and become stronger and more durable he could be one of the more sought after pitchers in the state of Wisconsin."

He has reportedly been clocked up to 85 mph last year as a freshman, which means there should be plenty in the tank still as he grows and matures. We will be keeping a close eye on the right arm of Dustin Landers this season to see if he can continue his prowess on the mound.
