Super 60: Nine To Know

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The 18th annual Super 60 took place Sunday and, as always, several players firmly stamped themselves as prospects to watch closely throughout the spring. In addition to Prep Baseball Report’s robust staff, Driveline Baseball, Trackman Baseball, Blast Motion, K-Motion operating the K-Vest and Force Plates, and ViZUAL Edge, 120 scouts were in attendance to see who made what improvements over the offseason. We’ll take a deeper dive into the data in the coming days, but for now, The Hotlist looks at nine players you need to know coming out of the event.

Tyler Chadwick, RHP, Marshall HS, WI
Chadwick is in the middle of his basketball season, so to look as polished as he did is saying something. Tall and projectable at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, the West Virginia recruit easily delivered fastballs in the low 90s, averaging 91 mph according to Trackman, with an average spin rate of 2164 rpm. He showed some of the best feel for his breaking ball, a sharp pitch with depth in the 79-81 range. His changeup had some arm-side action and the makings of an average offering, giving him a starter’s profile with his frame, easy delivery and three-pitch arsenal.
