Super 60 Preview - Wisconsin Prospects

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director - Wisconsin

With the Super 60 coming up this weekend Wisconsin is represented by 4 of the top 6 players in the state. This loaded lineup will consist of Evan Kruczynski, Dan Jansen, Clark Eagan, and Nick Kanavas. The four Wisconsin prospects all have pro potential and will bring plenty of tools to showoff this Sunday.

Arizona signee, Nick Kanavas (Brookfield East HS, 2013) is an athletic middle infielder with a big arm across the diamond. As a committed prospect to the defending NCAA national champions, Kanavas is obviously a highly sought after prospect.  The No. 3 prospect in the state should garner plenty of pro attention.

Evan Kruczynski (Franklin HS, 2013) is a long lanky left handed pitcher who is signed at Eastern Carolina. His long 6-foot-5, 180-pound frame is exactly what pro scouts are looking for. Add the fact that his arm works loosely and effortlessly from the left side, and you have all the makings of a potential draft pick. The No. 5 prospect in his class has reportedly been working hard this winter and we could see a stronger and harder throwing Kruczynski this Sunday.

Dan Jansen (Appleton West HS, 2013) a Jacksonville signee, is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound catcher who has a pro style body already. Jansen is the No. 6 prospect in the state. The strong framed Jansen shows a strong arm and excellent pop times to second. His advanced physical presence and prowess behind the plate makes him a very intriguing prospect.

Clark Eagan (Appleton North HS, 2013) an Arkansas recruit, is a big time left handed bat. Eagan shows pop from the left side which is a highly coveted asset. As the No. 4 ranked player in Wisconsin’s Class of 2013, the first baseman is listed at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds and shows plenty of projection at the next level.
