Scouting Report

7.11.17 - Michigan commit. Currently ranked No. 6 in the Wisconsin Class of 2018 and No. 116 in the PBR Overall Ranks. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a loose, lightning quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery with a square landing and regular effort. Smooth rhythm with an athletic finish. Fastball was straight, worked mostly up in the zone at 89 topping out at 91 mph. Curveball has 12-6 shape with depth and sharp breaking action at 74-76 mph. Also features a slider with 10-4 shape and shorter breaking action. 

7.7.17 - Michigan commit. Currently ranked No. 4 in the Wisconsin Class of 2018. Posses some of the best arm speed in the class. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long, loose arm action. Tall and fall delivery, slightly closed landing with good balance and regular effort. Fastball sat 88 in the outing topping out at 89 mph during his four innings of work. Curveball is the separator for him. Pitch has 11-5 shape with sharp, late breaking action, has the ability to throw it for a strike and use it as a chase pitch. Sat 76-77 mph. Struck out six over four innings of work allowing two runs.

3.12.17 - Michigan commit. Currently ranked No. 4 in the Wisconsin Class of 2018. 6-foot-2, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long, loose arm action. Plus arm speed. Tall and fall delivery with a closed landing. Fastball flashed cutting action at 90-91 mph. Curveball shows 11-5 to 10-4 shape with depth at 73-75 mph for strikes. Struggled to command changeup, thrown with fastball arm speed at 85-88 mph.

6/18/16 - Loose, quick arm with a repeatable delivery 87-89 FB with run in first inning. Athletic, projectable build. Michigan recruit.

7/7/16 - Michigan commit. 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed pitcher with a lanky, athletic frame. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a loose, lighting quick arm. Tall and fall online delivery with good explosion in the core. Showed improved command of his repertoire. Fastball showed life sitting 86-88 topping out at 89 mph. Slider and curveball showed same shape and action. Slider is a better offering at 76-77 mph with late, hard breaking action. Curveball sits 73-74 mph.

12.7.15 - Verbally commits to Michigan.

9.5.15 - One of the top arms in Wisconsin’s 2018 class. Reached 87 early in outing , settled in at 84-85 mph, lively fastball. Pitched exclusively off his fastball. Arm action is quick and live, advanced arm speed. Delivery needs to repeat more, open toe landing, finishes to first base side. High follow 2018 prospect.

7/12/15 - 6-foot, 165-pound, right-handed pitcher with a lanky, projectable frame. Currently ranked No. 2 in the Wisconsin Class of 2018. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long, loose arm action. Easy, natural arm speed. Works downhill, Tall and fall online delivery. Fastball sat 84-86 in his outing. Curveball showed 11-5 shape with good depth and tight rotation at 71-72 mph.

6/4/15 - One of the top ranked prospects in a loaded 2018 class in Wisconsin. 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed pitcher, lean loose frame. Athletic delivery, improved athleticism and delivery from the stretch. Loose quick arm action, high ¾ slot, arm possesses high upside. Lively fastball sat 83-85 mph, touching 86 and 87 early in the contest. Hard breaking ball at 73-77 mph, swing and miss type pitch, flashed plus action for his age, more lateral at the top end of its velocity, showing more depth at the lower end. High follow 2018 prospect in the Midwest.

4/10/15 - Freshman right-handed pitcher, long lean frame, highly projectable. Our first look at Nowicki game action, ranked No. 2 in Wisconsinâ��s 2018 class. Quick arm action, high ¾ slot, athletic delivery, up tempo with good finish. Longer to the plate out of the stretch, slow to plate, will improve as he gets adjusted to the speed of the game. Live arm, fastball finishes well through the zone, sat 81-83 mph, touching 84 and 85 multiple times in the first. Breaking ball looked steeper than what weâ��ve seen, 11/5 action70-72 mph, slightly decelerated arm action. Showed a power changeup at 77-78 mph. Stuff is very lively through the hitting zone, will control the game better as he matures, high follow 2018 prospect.

3/15/15- 6-foot, 165-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic frame with sloped shoulders, high follow pitching prospect in the 2018 class. Athletic delivery, works online, slight open toe landing, finishes to first base side. Arm action is loose and lightning quick for his age, high ¾ slot. Fastball finishes late through the zone, occasional running action, sat 85 mph, touched 86 mph, plus arm strength for his age. Changeup is a plus pitch for age, throws aggressively with fastball arm speed, hard action to his arm side 80-81 mph. Slider was left arm side, throws with aggressive arm speed, simply didn’t get through the baseball, worked around it and had back up type action, ranged from 67-71 mph. Hits from a balanced stance, arm bar load, short stride. Athletic setup and loose hands, level path. Defensively showed arm strength from the outfield, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, showed arm strength at 85 mph. 7.62 runner in the 60. Looks to project as one of the top pitching prospects in the Midwest’s 2018 class.

4/5/14 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound two-way player, long limbed, projectable build. Projects well on the mound with advanced arm strength for his age. Delivery has rhythm, open toe landing, regular effort. Arm action is loose, quick arm speed, high ¾ slot. Fastball has run, showed feel for the zone, 75-77 mph, advanced arm strength. Curveball showed above average action, 11/5 plane, near fastball arm speed, 62-64 mph. Changeup has feel, sink, decelerated arm action, 65-70 mph, lacks conviction. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride. Line drive approach, short path with bat speed. Defensively has a strong loose arm action, 77 mph from the outfield, shuffles through the baseball.  4.61 runner down the line.
