Moving into the top five, we continue our countdown the 2014 calendar year with a look at the top ten viewed profiles of 2014. After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited profiles by you the reader in 2014.

No. 2 Gavin Lux

Gavin LuxGavin Lux (Indian Trail, 2016) has been one of the more highly touted prospects in the 2016 class for quite some time now. Lux made his college commitment to Virginia Tech back in November of his sophomore year and is sure to be a talk among pro scouts this summer. Lux’s profile got nearly 5,000 hits and peaked in April when Lux cracked the top ten in the updated overall rankings. Lux saw a spike of over 100 page views in a single day when that story came out.

His talents speak for themselves and Lux made the rounds at many of the top national events this summer including Area Codes and Jupiter. Lux is sure to see a similar following in 2015 as most of that calendar year will be his draft eligible year and scouts will surely be following him.

PBR Scouting Report: 2/9/14 - Virginia Tech commit, one of the top ranked players in the PBR coverage area. 6-foot, 160-pound shortstop, highly projectable frame, long and slender build, loose actions, athletic make up. Offensively hits from the left side, quiet setup, short stride with slight leg lift. Quick twitch athletic swing, excellent balance throughout. Advanced path to the baseball, short to it with extension, line drive hitter with the ability to work both gaps, shows sneaky pull side power. 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively plays extremely quick, soft hands, plays easy, advanced actions. Exchange is quick, with loose athletic arm action, will be able to turn the double play at a high level. Shows excellent body control on the move. Showed 86 mph arm strength across the diamond. Lux is a high level prospect with one of the highest ceilings in the PBR coverage area and he continues to play the game easier as he matures.
