Uncommitted Senior Spotlight: INF Payton Foltz

By Andy Sroka
Staff Writer, Associate Scout

Here at the start of the New Year, we’re going to be spending some time highlighting the best of the state’s uncommitted senior class.

Fellow uncommitted seniors in Wisconsin were welcomed at last Sunday's showcase in the Chicagoland area, the Unsigned Senior Showcase. Staffs from both states were in attendance, too.

From Watertown, Payton Foltz remains one of the top uncommitted infielders in the state. Ranked inside the top-90 of the state's senior class, Foltz is an athletic 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, and ranges well on the infield with confident actions and an accurate arm. At the plate, Foltz is able to create some bat speed from the right side and engineers gap-to-gap abilities from the batter's box. He looks capable of helping a team win at the next level, though we'll see where exactly that might be.
